| DOSHAS
|
The human body is composed of five elements:
- Ether (corresponding to the formless, invisible, penetrating)
- Air (lightness, dryness, mobility, cold, roughness, smoothness, subtlety, clarity)
- Fire (heat, spice, clarity, subtlety)
- Water (moisture, smooth, cold, stable, soft, fat, smooth)
- Earth (heaviness, weight, strength, cold, static, slowly, firmness, roughness)
manifested in human physiology in the form of three doshas (biological humors or biometabolical principles):
- Vatha (Ether + Air) on traffic, transit and communication, and represents all macrochannels and all the microchannels (nervous system, circulatory system, etc..), The energy flows in motion. We may associate the movement of Vatha to Brahma and to Sattva guna.
- Pitta (fire + water) affects the tranformation or metabolism. It represents the enzymes and hormones, digestion. We may associate the regenerative and transforming capacities of Pitta to Shiva, and to Rajas guna.
- Kapha (earth + water) covers all structures and represents the organic tissues (bone, muscle, nerve tissue, adipose tissue, etc.). It may evoque the stabilizer ability of Vishnu and of Tamas gunas.
These three doshas or forces underlying the functioning of various body systems. An imbalance of doshas leads to a state of disease.

refrigeration, provided it
is kept in an airtight container to prevent oxidation and remains
moisture-free. Texture, colour, or
taste of ghee depends on the source of the milk from which the butter was made
and the extent of boiling. In India, ghee
is usually made with water buffalo's milk as it tends to be whiter
than cow's milk

phlegm), marutha (vata, air), teja (pitta, bile) and
the three mental types: rajas, tamas and satva. Marma adi
is the science of manipulating marmas or vital points. These are nerve
junctures usually close to the skin surface. According to Susruta, author of
Susruta Samhita, the ancient treatise on ayurveda, human body contains
107 marma points which, when struck or massaged, produce desired healing or injurious results. Like acupressure,
marma adi functions by pressing these points through which the

Among the various hypotheses on the etymological origin of Spa, we note that the "bubbling spring" of Latin sparsa "scattered" and "gushing" past participle of spargere or, more simply, "free space" of the Walloon and Spa spatia Latin, plural spatium. It was three centuries later (seventeenth) he crossed the Channel to become progressively "spa" in the English language. Three centuries later still (twentieth century), it becomes world "whirlpool" or "center fitness.
It holds that William Slingsby, who had stayed at Spa in 1571 discovered a spring in Yorkshire he called Harrogate. The doctor called Timothy Bright in 1596, "The English Spaw", which seems to come generically spa.
There is a widespread belief (readily conveyed by the institutions themselves) that SPA is a former Roman acronym meaning "Sana Per Aqua" or "Sanitas per aquam" or "Senare Per Aqua". This is a reverse acronym, manufacture post a fictitious acronym
